designjunction showcases the very best in furniture, lighting and product design from around the world. It perfectly balances the bridge between creative and commercial, offering a nice alternative to traditional interior design shows. This year the event took place at The Sorting Offices on New Oxford Street, London between the 17th and 21st of September.
We loaded up the lorry with a selection of our Vintage models and after set up we were ready to welcome visitors to our stand. The show was a great success and we were very proud to be featured. It also gave us the opportunity to get the scope on next season’s hottest trends for our homes.
Go bold or go home
Big, bold blocks of colour teamed with contrast combinations and mixed textures, seemed to steal the show this year at designjunction.
A lot of designers showed a heavy use of show-wood on their products. It’s a typical mid-century modern trait and implies quality and craftsmanship to the product.
Mid-century’s big sister
Mid-century is evolving. This trend oozes glamour and opulence featuring lots of velvet fabrics, gold trim and geometric forms.
Thanks to designjunction we’re looking forward to experimenting with both current and upcoming interior trends. For more design ideas for your space, have a look at our Pinterest page to get some inspiration.
